私たち日本人には元来、侘び、寂、粋の「美」が根付いています。

その一つの大きな要素にははっきりとした四季という背景がかかせないでしょう。

例えば和菓子。そこには洋菓子には見られない、

美しい四季が醸し出されています。

二十四節季と雑節が案内する日本の気候、文化などをデザインテーマに、

現在の生活に違和感のない洗練された服作りを目指します。

 

 

Endearing Cycle of Seasons    Empathy and Tenderness in Life

 

The Japanese climate, the custom and the culture will always be guided by the 24 divisions

of the solar year and the standard days signifying the changing of the seasons.

Originally the beauty of Wabi (beauty in simplicity and tranquillity),

Sabi (beauty in the detached and the dispassionate) and Iki (chic) have their roots in us, the Japanese.

One of the biggest factors seems to be the background of four clear seasons.

In the Japanese sweets, for example, the beautiful seasons are reproduced,

which we don’t see in the western cakes.

The design theme for us who have been living in Japan is the 24 divisions of the

solar year which describe the seasons in the old calendar and I came up with the

thought that I should seek beauty through living and a daily life.

I have been creating a brand which runs in parallel with modern life,

reproducing and making excellent use of the Japanese techniques which

we can show to the world with pride as well as the methods which are still being

succeeded since ancient times such as describing the Haiku scene pictorially and

unearthing a design from the shape of traditional sweets.
